Sharon Creek Conservation Area

Sharon Creek Conservation Area is a 48.5-hectare day-use destination featuring a scenic reservoir, forest, ravines, wetlands, and the largest publicly accessible tallgrass prairie in Middlesex County. Visitors can enjoy hiking, birdwatching, fishing, paddling, and picnicking while exploring the area’s diverse natural landscapes.
Springer Lake, the on-site reservoir, is home to bass, pike, and walleye, offering excellent fishing opportunities. While swimming is not permitted, the conservation area provides a peaceful outdoor experience year-round.
Open daily from 8am until sunset, the site offers public access, trails, water access for fishing and paddling, and seasonal washrooms available April through October.
Parking is $5.00 per vehicle (payable by credit card through the Passport App, Zone 3022), or free with an LTVCA Parking Pass. Please note that motorized watercraft, including electric motors, are not permitted on the reservoir.
Mill Stream Conservation Area is a peaceful 10-hectare natural area offering a quiet escape for hiking, fishing, birdwatching, picnicking, and seasonal tobogganing. Located on the Caradoc Sand Plain, the conservation area features Carolinian forest and ravine habitats that support a variety of wildlife, along with a picnic shelter overlooking the scenic Mill Stream.
Open daily from 8am until sunset, admission is free and public access is available. Free parking is provided; however, there are no washrooms on site.
Longwoods Road Conservation Area is a 63-hectare destination where nature, history, and Indigenous heritage come together. Visitors can explore more than 10 km of scenic forest, wetland, and ravine trails, many of which are wheelchair accessible and feature boardwalks and bridges.
The conservation area is also home to Ska-Nah-Doht Village and Museum, featuring a recreated Indigenous Longhouse village, an indoor museum highlighting local Indigenous history and the natural environment, and three historic log cabins. Ska-Nah-Doht Village is open daily, 9am to dusk, year-round. The Ska-Nah-Doht Museum / the Resource Centre are open for summer operating hours. The Museum is open from 10am to 4pm (including holidays) given staff availability.
Additional amenities include picnic areas, a rentable pavilion, group camping, seasonal snowshoe rentals, and public washrooms (available April through October). Open daily from 9am until sunset, the conservation area also hosts popular events throughout the year, including the Battle of Longwoods and Artifact Day.

Delaware Conservation Area is a peaceful 3-hectare natural area along the Thames River, offering a quiet setting for fishing, paddling, and enjoying nature. A popular destination for seasonal pickerel fishing, the property features a flat floodplain with mature trees, tallgrass prairie, and convenient river access.
The conservation area offers free parking, public access, and water access for fishing and paddling, but there are no washroom facilities. Open daily from 8am until sunset year-round, admission is free.
Please note that the conservation area is prone to flooding due to its riverside location.
Kerwood Park

Kerwood Park is a community recreation park offering two park pavilions, two baseball diamonds (south diamond with lighting), a soccer field, basketball court, pickleball court, playground, seasonal washrooms, and a kitchenette (north pavilion). Free parking and an EV charger are available at the entrance off Kerwood Road.
The park is open year-round, with seasonal washrooms typically available May through Fall. Pavilions, the kitchenette, and baseball diamonds are available to rent, while park amenities remain open to the public when not reserved for events.
Clark Wright Conservation Area

Clark Wright Conservation Area is a 50-acre natural area featuring 2.4 km of trails through reforested lands and a mature pine plantation. It's an excellent destination for birdwatching and enjoying nature.

Strathroy Conservation Area

Strathroy Conservation Area features 3.9 km of scenic trails through a beautiful floodplain forest, offering excellent opportunities to spot local wildlife. Trail access is available from the Conservation Authority Administration Centre or the parking lot off Head Street, just north of the bridge, with connections to Strathroy's parks, arboretums, and wetlands.

Coldstream Conservation Area

Coldstream Conservation Area features 4.2 km of scenic trails. The south trail winds through a rare cedar swamp, while the trail north of Coldstream Road is an excellent spot to enjoy spring wildflowers and birdwatching.
A picnic pavilion is available on a first-come, first-served basis (no bookings).
Please note that the washrooms are seasonal.
Rock Glen Conservation Area

Rock Glen Conservation Area is a hidden gem featuring wide gravel trails through Carolinian Forest, scenic bridges, and the stunning Rock Glen Falls. The gorge has steep sides and is accessed by three staircases leading to the bottom, each with more than 100 steps.
Open Early May to late October, 7 days a week, from sunrise to sunset (unless otherwise posted). Walking trails remain open year-round during daylight hours, weather permitting. Parking included in gate fee. Washrooms are open between 9am and 7pm, (closed briefly twice daily for cleaning); privies remain open outside these hours.
The Arkona Lions Museum & Information Centre is open daily from Canada Day through Labour Day, 10am – 5pm.
Please note: Bicycles are not permitted. The closest parking lot is approximately 120 metres from the falls. Parkhill Conservation Area is open seven days a week from sunrise to sunset (unless otherwise posted). Access the conservation area via Centre Road off County Road 7, and the boat launch via McGuffin Hills Drive off County Road 81. The boat launch is open April through November, from sunrise to sunset.
