On July 17, 2026, The Royal Canadian Legion will mark an incredible milestone – 100 years of service to Veterans, their families, and communities across Canada. To honour this historic occasion, Royal Canadian Legion Caradoc Branch 251 in Mount Brydges is inviting the community to come together for a special evening celebrating the Legion's centenary year.

Founded in 1926, The Royal Canadian Legion has spent the past century supporting Veterans, promoting remembrance, advocating for those who have served, and strengthening communities from coast to coast. While Caradoc Branch 251 is not celebrating 100 years of service itself, the branch has proudly served the Mount Brydges area for more than 90 years and is honoured to be part of this nationwide celebration.

The evening will recognize not only the Legion's national legacy but also the many local members, volunteers, Veterans, Past Presidents, Ladies Auxiliary members, and community supporters whose dedication has helped shape Branch 251 over the decades.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore historical displays and memorabilia showcasing the branch's rich history while reflecting on the important role the Legion continues to play within the community. The celebration will also provide a chance for old friends and new faces alike to gather, reconnect, and celebrate this remarkable milestone together.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m., giving attendees time to enjoy refreshments, visit with fellow community members, and browse the historical displays. The official ceremony will begin promptly at 7:00 p.m. and will include recognition of those who have contributed to the branch's success over the years, commemorative speeches, a group photo to capture the occasion, and, of course, birthday cake in honour of the Legion's 100th anniversary. Live music throughout the evening will help make the celebration even more memorable.

Whether you've been a Legion member for decades, recently moved to the area, or have simply been curious about the important work the Legion does, everyone is welcome to attend. The event offers a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the past, recognize those who have served, and look ahead to the future of one of Canada's most respected community organizations.

The celebration takes place on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 251, located at 2500 Veterans Drive, Mount Brydges, with the official ceremony beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Everyone is welcome to join this special evening as the community celebrates 100 years of The Royal Canadian Legion and the lasting impact it has made – both across Canada and here at home in Mount Brydges.
